friday night lights

friday night - another football game. any friday night between august and november, you can find us at a high school football field.

camryn loved hanging out with taylor (one of the other coach's girls).  she had some friends with her at the game.  they were going to taylor's house for a sleep over after the game.  i offered to send camryn with them :)

we can't wait for "football weather."  we are all hot and sweaty after the game.  here is the proud coach with his best player!

teething bites

camryn is a good girl.  she rarely cries, she goes with the flow and loves to be around people.  but let me tell ya....teething bites.  all of her bottom teeth have decided to come in at the same time {currently, she has 7 teeth completely in}.  i think she has 4-5 bottom ones breaking through right now.
teething has led to some tantrums {again, she'll probably kill me for these pictures one day}.

it's football time in tennessee

can you believe that high school football has already started?  david's team had their first game on thursday night {it was televised locally so they played on thursday instead of friday}.  i was interested to see how camryn would do at the game.  last year was easy peasy....she just laid/sat in my arms and people watched.

not.so.much this year.  she is on the move. she loved the band - she danced every time they played and signed/said "more, more" when they paused in between songs.
honestly, i didn't get as many photos of her as i intended.  i wrangled her the whole game to keep her from climbing the bleachers, pulling the lady's hair that sat in front of us or just from running off!  she cheered when the crowd got excited and would yell "go daddy", "go dogs" and "go, go, go, go, go"!

august happenings

caution:  this post is photo heavy!

we are 3/4 into the month and i still don't remember starting the month!  i was out of town for the first two weeks of the month for work.  camryn spent a week at my mom's and had a blast.  she is changing so quickly.  her vocabulary is growing by the day {which means we've got to start watching our language!}.  she knows a bit of sign language and loves to use please and more.  and when she uses please, she automatically assumes she should get since she is using her manners!

here are a few snapshots from the past few weeks:

i love this one!  she and i share homemade fruit smoothies as a special treat.  on this particular day, she thought she should be in charge of the cup.  it is as big as she is.
and speaking of "big", we had to go to the doctor {for yet another ear infection} and little miss priss is at 21 pounds 15 ounces.  22 pounds here we come!

she will kill me for this one when she is bigger....a little naked playtime after a bath.   and don't worry....she went right to the kitchen and peed in the middle of the floor.  such a lady!

in the toddler room at school, they have started sitting around a small table for meals & snacks.  she really enjoys it so we bought her one for the house {excuse the laundry on the floor}.  she loves to eat there but hasn't got the "plate goes on the table" concept.  we've got to work on that but for now abby, our dog, is enjoying the remnants on the floor.

new favorite outfit:  tutu and crocs.  the crocs are a hand-me-down from her cousin julia and she loves them!

loves to color! she is definitely my child!  and just to prove that she is definitely david's child...all the crayons MUST go in the same direction.

most certainly a little girl.  here she is with one of my necklaces on and playing in eyeshadow.

this is the reason i despise it.  this is the reason we are on a mission to ban it from our house.

this little "gem" is a permanent fixture in our kitchen....in the most noticeable place.  would she have it any other way?  of course not.

crayon roll

i found this tutorial for crayon rolls over at the pleated poppy.  lindsey is so creative and talented with her sewing machine.  i love to check out her beautiful creations.  i also drool over her craft room and beautiful fabrics.
i had bookmarked the tutorial a while back and finally decided to give it a try.  we are talking basic sewing skills here, people.  i took me longer to cut out the fabric than it did to sew it {that is a bit of an exaggeration but it was pretty quick}.

i had the fabric leftover from my camera case project.

i love the flower shaped button.  joann fabrics has all of their buttons 50% off this week so it was super cheap.

aren't these perfect for little ones?  stash them in your bag or purse to keep them busy when you are out and about.  i think i see some gifts in the future....
