in stitches

over the past month, i have taken on several sewing projects.  let me preface this by saying, i love to sew and i do it for enjoyment.  but recently, i've had a few people ask me to make things for them and they are paying me for it.  i would love to start an etsy shop but i honestly don't have the time to commit to it.  if someone asks me to make something for them, i generally say yes.  but i'm not afraid to say 'i'm just too busy right now.'   i don't want to take on so many projects that it stresses me out.

let me show you some of my recent projects.

debbie asked me to make pouches for christmas presents - thinking ahead isn't she?  i brought her a stack of fabrics and she mixed/matched what she liked.

jackie wanted me to make 2 clutches.  one for herself and one for her daughter to take to high school football games.  these are great when you don't want to carry a purse.  i've got to make one of these for myself!
i added a little pocket inside for your ID or debit card.
i love the button details on this one.
this purple/grey fabric is my favorite combo.
brittney is having a baby girl in a couple of months.  she wanted some tees and onesies similar to the ones i have made for camryn.  she brought me the shirts and picked out fabrics from my stash.  i let her come up with the designs.  i love what she picked.

little miss teagan is going to look so cute in these.

and lastly, when i made this pillow for lily, i knew that i wanted to make one for camryn, too.  it is perfect as we start to think about the transition to a big girl bed.

and our friend, becca, had a birthday so i made one for her.  i couldn't stop myself!

so you can see, my sewing machine has seen lots of action in the past few weeks.  i have a few more sewing projects on my list but i need to take a break for a little while!
