on to the next holiday

yeah, i'm one of those people.  the day after the holiday the decorations come down and i'm on to the next holiday.  december 26th, i took down the decor and started thinking about valentine's day.

that would explain my valentine's board on pinterest.  i haven't decided on valentine's for camryn's preschool but i did find this little owl that i couldn't resist.

after camryn's nap on sunday, i drug out all my supplies and called my trusty assistant to the kitchen counter.  this one is totally my girl.  she's up for a project.  you should have seen her skills with a glue stick.  wearin'.it.out.

 this is her new "cheese" smile.   i cut out the pieces and she glued them together.

 we made two versions - a pink version for valentine's

and a black/turquoise/purple one for her big girl room.

i framed up the valentine's version in a pre-made red mat from hobby lobby and a black frame i already owned.  i looks cute next to camryn's valentine mailbox from last year

i am very pleased with our hooties and i think camryn enjoyed the project, too!
